MOXI
Moxi— is a non‑ablative, fractional laser treatment by Sciton designed to refresh, brighten, and renew the skin with minimal downtime. It works beneath the surface of the skin in very small, controlled zones (microscopic channels), stimulating collagen and elastin production, improving texture, tone, and reducing early sun damage, pigmentation, fine lines, and roughness. Because it is non‑ablative, the top layer of skin remains largely intact, so healing is quicker and gentler than with more aggressive resurfacing lasers.

In just 1-3 sessions, IPL can improve the appearance of age spots (red/brown pigmentation), sun damage, vascular lesions (spider veins, port wine stains, telangiectasia ) and rosacea (redness). Before your laser hair appointment, avoid extended sun exposure, self-tanning or tanning beds one month prior and after treatment. If you are taking Accutane, you must wait six months to getting any IPL treatment. If using topical retinol, you must stop seven days prior to your treatment.

Once completing all laser hair removal sessions, clients have about 80-90% reduction of hair growth! Results vary from patient to patient! We have seen some results where a patient NEVER has to shave again and other patients that shave less often than before!

People diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) or thyroid problems may experience abnormal hair growth on their face, neck and chest. Laser hair removal has been useful for our patients that do experience this abnormal hair growth!

If you have a history of genital or oral herpes we suggest our patients to get treated with prophylactic Valtrex prior to your scheduled session. You primary care provider can prescribe this to you or we would be happy to prescribe the medication to you during your consultation.

Please avoid waxing and tweezing six weeks prior to your first treatment. You are allowed to shave prior to treatment.

Fair skinned clients with darker hair are easy to treat. The lighter the hair the more difficult it is for the laser to treat since the pigment in the hair is what attracts the laser beam to destroy the hair growth. However, you can still set up a free consultation at our office for us to determine if you would be a good candidate or not!
