Amy Hicks, NP-C, SCLP
FOUNDER
AESTHETIC INJECTOR
A certified nurse practitioner passionate about helping her patients, Amy Hicks is the founder of MedSpa Downtown. Prior to discovering her passion for the aesthetic industry, Amy worked as a trauma critical care nurse at Grady Health System.
During her time there she was repeatedly recognized for her dedication and excellent care receiving multiple awards. She was a valued team member and advanced during her time at Grady. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from South University.
Amy is known for her warmth and ability to put patients at ease. She is passionate about continued education and she and her team actively seek out opportunities to provide patients with the latest and most effective treatments available. She utilizes an artistic approach rooted in science to help patients explore available options to achieve their aesthetic goals.
Katherine Wiegman, MD
COLLABORATING PHYSICIAN
Dr. Wiegman is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. She is native, born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Carrollton, Georgia. She went to college at the University of West Georgia and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology. Dr. Wiegman graduated in 2008 from Mercer University School of Medicine. After that, she did a four-year residency training program in Indianapolis, Indiana in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. After training, she moved back to her home state of Georgia and spent four years in the smaller communities of Bainbridge and Summerville.
She is passionate about being a Primary Care Physician and working with patients to prevent and treat illnesses. She is also passionate about helping people feel well by focusing on health lifestyle routines as well as skin care to improve wellness throughout their lifespan.
Dr. Wiegman has always had an interest in Aesthetic Medicine. She loves taking care of patients to help them feel and look their best. She loves how much fun this field is and how many opportunities there are to learn new and exciting things.
Kailynn Maxwell
PRACTICE MANAGER
Kailynn is our Practice Manager, and is the one most always behind the camera catching fun, new, and creative content for you all and sharing it through our social media platforms! A few of her essential duties include overseeing all of the day-to-day operations, managing the staffing, training, finances and patient care satisfaction. Kailynn helps set our providers up for success as they go into each treatment!
Before joining MedSpa Downtown Kailynn spent three years working in the ICU at Tanner Medical Center as a Certified Nurse Tech. Working in ICU can be challenging, demanding, and force you to juggle many obstacles at once. Kailynn believes her past experience allows her to work hard and juggle all of the day to day tasks at MedSpa Downtown to the best of her ability.
When Kailynn isn't working, she and her husband, Trent, enjoy spending time with their Boykin spaniel Charmer and rescue dog Maggie. Kailynn loves all things mountains, winter, and her church family.
Payten Cashen, LE, ACLP
LISCENSED AESTHETICIAN
Payten is our Licensed Aesthetician. Payten is passionate about assisting her clients with meeting their skincare goals.
Payten offers various services, including Microneedling, Dermaplaning, Medical-grade facials, Intense pulse light therapy, Laser hair removal, Chemical peels, and Morpheus 8 treatments.
Before discovering her love for Aesthetics, Payten worked as a Medical Assistant at Carrollton ENT. This prior experience allowed Payten to Communicate with patients and build her expertise in the Medical Field. Payten received her Esthetician License at West Ga Technical College. After graduation, Payten received her Assistant Cosmetic Laser Practitioner License, and Demaplane PRO certification of completion. Payten is now a Certified Acne Expert with Face Reality.
When asking Payten what she is known for, she'll say "being tall." We love Payten's humor and bright smile! Payten loves to spend her free time on the lake with her closest friends. Payten loves pickles, cherry coke, and her favorite treatment here at MedSpa Downtown is Microneedling!

Corie Price, NP- C, SCLP
AESTHETIC INJECTOR
Corie Price, NP-C, graduated from The University of West Georgia, and worked as an Emergency room nurse while obtaining her Master's degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Before discovering her love for aesthetics, Corie worked as a nurse practitioner in Gl for eight-plus years. She is married with three children— an eleven-year-old and two eight-year-olds. She loves learning, animals, true crime, nutrition, exercise, and healthy living.
Her goal and passion in this industry is to safely create subtle changes to make her patients look and feel their absolute best.
Corie's services include PRF Hair & Undereye rejuvenation, lower face filler, and neurotoxin injections such as Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, & Xeomin. Corie plans to add lip filler, and upper face filler to her services someday soon!
Corie received her Senior Cosmetic Laser Practitioner license and attended Aesthetic Medical Educators Training before joining MedSpa Downtown. Corie has been working diligently to obtain new techniques while shadowing our esteemed Amy Hicks, NP-C.
