AESTHETIC INJECTOR
Amy Hicks, NP-C, SCLP
A certified nurse practitioner passionate about helping her patients, Amy Hicks is the founder of MedSpa Downtown. Prior to discovering her passion for the aesthetic industry, Amy worked as a trauma critical care nurse at Grady Health System.
During her time there she was repeatedly recognized for her dedication and excellent care receiving multiple awards. She was a valued team member and advanced during her time at Grady. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from South University.
Amy is known for her warmth and ability to put patients at ease.She is passionate about continued education and she and her team actively seek out opportunities to provide patients with the latest and most effective treatments available. She utilizes an artistic approach rooted in science to help patients explore available options to achieve their aesthetic goals.
Katherine Wiegman, MD
Dr. Wiegman is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. She is native, born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Carrollton, Georgia. She went to college at the University of West Georgia and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology. Dr. Wiegman graduated in 2008 from Mercer University School of Medicine. After that, she did a four-year residency training program in Indianapolis, Indiana in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. After training, she moved back to her home state of Georgia and spent four years in the smaller communities of Bainbridge and Summerville.
She is passionate about being a Primary Care Physician and working with patients to prevent and treat illnesses. She is also passionate about helping people feel well by focusing on health lifestyle routines as well as skin care to improve wellness throughout their lifespan.
Dr. Wiegman has always had an interest in Aesthetic Medicine. She loves taking care of patients to help them feel and look their best. She loves how much fun this field is and how many opportunities there are to learn new and exciting things.

Kailynn Maxwell
PRACTICE MANAGER
Kailynn is our Practice Manager, and is the one most always behind the camera catching fun, new, and creative content for you all and sharing it through our social media platforms! A few of her essential duties include overseeing all of the day-to-day operations, managing the staffing, training, finances and patient care satisfaction. Kailynn helps set our providers up for success as they go into each treatment!
Before joining MedSpa Downtown Kailynn spent three years working in the ICU at Tanner Medical Center as a Certified Nurse Tech. Working in ICU can be challenging, demanding, and force you to juggle many obstacles at once. Kailynn believes her past experience allows her to work hard and juggle all of the day to day tasks at MedSpa Downtown to the best of her ability.
When Kailynn isn't working, she and her husband, Trent, enjoy spending time with their Boykin spaniel and rescue dog Maggie. Kailynn loves all things mountains, winter, and her church family.
